Ammo box hidden at Bob's Hollow, a popular fishing & rock climbing area, in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.
There are many ways to approach this cache. If you have a 4WD you will be able to drive within about 500m of the cache. Otherwise you will have about a 3km hike from car to cache.
To get in by 4WD, turn off Caves Rd at S34 03.094 E115 01.487. The track is quite rocky in places and requires good ground clearance. It can also be quite scratchy on your car, as the bushes are in close on some parts of the track.
Once you have reached the parking area scramble down the track to the south which goes past a large cave, and up the steps on the other side.
If you are hiking in, there are many options, each of which is about a 3km walk from the car to the cache. You can walk in along the 4WD track, it's okay to drive your car in a little way and then park it.
Alternatively you can walk in along the beach from Conto's Spring to the south, or Redgate Beach to the north, but this can be hard going on the sand.
We usually hike in on the Cape to Cape track from Conto Rd, and park where the track crosses the road at S34 04.907 E115 00.489. It's a great walk with stunning scenery along the way, and even another cache to find.
The cache is a large ammo box, stocked with the usual goodies as well as a FTF certificate. Hidden not too far off the Cape to Cape track, so stick to the track as long as possible.
Bring some water as it can get very hot around here in summer.
Bob's Hollow is a popular fishing and rock climbing area, so walk down along the bottom of the cliff while you are here, or head down to the water for a swim.
