Geocache Description:

A relatively simple grab-n-go placed for the Go And Get 'Em 11 event. Please do not seek this cache before 6:00pm on Friday, October 26, 2007. Any logs prior to that time will be deleted!

There is something of a curse lurking in the unsuspecting Bell's Corners neighborhood. Once the heart of the west end, activity in Bell's Corners has been reduced somewhat as other nearby developments have grown around it, like Barrhaven, Kanata, Stittsville. Businesses have come and gone over the decades. Nothing unusual about that. Where one has closed, another has risen from the ashes to take its place, and life goes on.

Except here.

Here lies somewhat of a mystery. What happened here? A Chinese buffet house, a lounge, a tex-mex restaurant, and many others before. In fact, no fewer than seven unlucky establishments have come and gone here within the past thirteen years alone.

Seven? Thirteen? Coincidence? Or curse?

By remarkable coincidence, I haved passed by this area every day (at worst, every week) for fifteen years. Over that time I've watched as most every business in the area thrives and grows. Except, somehow, for the ones unfortunate enough to be located here.

I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions as you find the small, camouflaged container placed here in remembrance of all whose fortunes were made and lost.
