This is a replacement for the original cache which was muggled.
The cache is placed near the Watson's Brook Hydro Station which was built in 1958 to supply additional power to the paper mill and is operated remotely by Deer Lake Power Company. The station has 2 generators which produce a total of 10,200 KVA or 12,000 HP.(From the Company website)
The cache can be reached by following the Margret Bowater Park to Crockers Road trail on the water side of the park or by parking on the access road above the park and following the roadway past the gate toward the power station. (about 400M)
When placed, the cache contained an assortment of trade items as well as a log book and pencil.
