Geocache Description:

This is a quick bike'n'grab.

The first of a planned series of caches along the bike trail in the Paul Douglas Forest Preserve - just to reward people who get out on a bike :)
For this one there is actually parking not too far away, though, by the Hoffman Estates Park District facility on Lexington, but the dash across Algonquin Rd is a bit scary.

I picked the location because I hope somebody can satisfy my curiosity and answer the following question:
What kind of rock is this, and how did these get here when there are no other boulders like them visible anywhere nearby?

I love the funny answers you folks are writing in the logs, keep them coming!!

This cache is dedicated to all the bicycle commuters who ride by here in rain or shine.
