A simple cache taking you to the site of some traditional Maori rock art located right on SH83.
This art is painted on limestone with paints made of traditional materials such as charcoal, iron oxide and animal fat and is part of the heritage trail. It depicts many different people, animals, myths and stories.
The cache is a 200ml snaplock container, note that instead of a logbook, it contains two log sheets, as we had no log books with us at time of placing.
