If you want to check out the video of a Geocaching Flash Mob Event
in May, go to this link.
The video of our event is on You Tube and can be seen
here!
The montage of all 83 events presented by Pablo Mac can be
seen here.
All attendees have been entered in to a drawing hosted by
iTrax and Foxtail (yep, still in Sunny SanDiego)! The
drawing was on their Monday, 3 December2007 Podcast!
The "2" difficulty is for the fact that the limited time will
make it tough to log if you aren't prompt and dilligent... You MUST
be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim the
event.
The Plan: At exactly 11:00am (as determined by the GPS clock) we
will place a bucket full of nice, new swag at the coordinates. We
will place a small CD player on the ground near the bucket to play
some pleasant, upbeat music. One volunteer will hand out "log
sheets". Participants will sign the log sheets (which will later
become a log book), to qualify for attendance and drop them in a
designated collection box. Bring a pen! Participants may
trade swag via the swag bucket at any time. We encourage you to
bring nice swag to trade. Another volunteer will hand out raffle
tickets. Another volunteer will hand out name tags and markers. If
any muggles are curious about the event we will have a volunteer
hand out fliers that explain geocaching. At a designated time, we
will toss out Pizza flavored Chips, Hershey Kisses, and other
chocolate candies to all attendants for the event "meal" (Pizza and
dessert). At a designated time, we will take a group photo. At a
designated time, we will call out the raffle winners. At precisely
11:15 the bucket, and the log sheets will be packed up and sealed
away. The event area will be vacated without a trace. Events that
happen after 11:15:01 do not count as part of THIS event. Only
those participants whose names appear on the log sheets may log the
event. We hope to gather a "good showing" of cachers at this event.
Tell your friends and help promote the event. Suggestion: COME
EARLY TO FIND PARKING. Parking can be difficult to find. If you
can't find parking you might miss the event! Note: Although
participants are welcome to get together for brunch after the
event. The event will officially be over at 11:15. At brunch,
participants may chat, meet, eat and plan for a day of caching in
Copperas Cove. I'm sure there will be several muggles nearby who
will wonder "What did I just see? What just happened?"

Do not show up at the library prior to 11:00 AM Sharp!
Stay parked or nearby, but for the Flash Mob to have its full
effect, it must appear to come from nowhere and disappear just as
quickly. Volunteers please email or post such below.
If anyone would like to have post-event geoherds, indicate
link-up points in your note logs below, so people have a place to
congregate...
Might I recommend trying a mega-multi cache for entertainment?
