Touni: Aikansa kutakin... Uuden jemman löytäminen näin talvella on hiukan hankalaa. Vanha tuntuu olevan hiukan turhan ahkerassa käytössä lapsien leikkipaikkana, joten sinne ei varmaan ole enää paluuta.

Josko tolle löytyy jokin sopiva paikka myöhemmin, niin pitänee sitten avata tämä kätkö uudelleen.

Kaikkea roinaa sitä tuleekin kerättyä nurkkiin lojumaan. Tutkiskelin, mitä kaikkea "hyödyllistä" sitä löytyykään omasta miljoonalaatikosta. Ei tuntunut löytyvän mitään kivaa, joten päätin työntää käden sokkona laatikkoon ja valita kourallisen sälää pöydälle ihmeteltäväksi. Aloin tutkiskelemaan saalistani.

Pöydällä lojui:
- Pari AA patteria
- Iso läjä vastuksia (E24)
- Yksi ideaalinen operaatiovahvistin
- Yksi vihreä LED (2.4V@20mA)
- Kytkin
- Läjä logiikkapiirejä

Mitäköhän näistä saisi aikaan? Samassa muistin omistavani erään laitteen, jonka ulostulona on 0.5Vp-p signaali. Lisäksi omistan entuudestaan erään kuorman, jonka impedanssi on 16ohm ja tehonkesto 0.1W. Ajattelin rakennella tälle kuormalle vahvistimen, jonka sisäänmenona toimii sen erään omistamani laitteen ulostulo. Vahvistuksen pitää olla suurin mahdollinen ja tokihan vahvistimessa pitää vihreä merkkivalo olla ja kirkas sellainen. Sitä on kyllä pakko ajaa täydellä 20mA:lla.. Kyhäsin seuraavan kytkennän:
Vahvistin - Amplifier
Homma jäi kuitenkin kesken, kun sain mahtavan idean logiikkapiirejä varten. Jospa niistä rakentelisi härvelin, joka tietyllä sisäänmenolla sylkee pihalle BCD:tä vähiten merkitsevä desimaali ensin. Hullunkiilto silmissä väsäsin seuraavan vekottimen:

Sermin takaa kuului "Joko mennään syömään?". No mikäpä ettei. Johan tota päivä on kohta puolessa. Sapuskan jälkeen vatsa täynnä vaapuin takaisin pöytäni ääreen ja tuijottelin hetken pöydällä olevia härveleitä. Nyt ei ole taas mitään muistikuvaa, mitä olin tekemässä. Toi toinen on vissiin jokin vahvistin, mutta mikäs ihme toi toinen on ja mikä vielä pahempaa... mikä ihme on sen sisäänmeno?!? Kai nämä joutaa takaisin miljoonalaatikkoon...

It seems that I have a habit to collect all kind of junk. One day I started to explore what kind of "useful" stuff I have in my junk box. I could not find anything interesting so I just decided to put my hand inside the junk box and grabbed a handful of components. Next I started to investigate the treasure on the table.

There was:
- Couple of AA batteries
- A big pile of resistors (E24)
- One ideal operational amplifier
- One green LED (2.4V@20mA)
- Switch
- Pile of different logical circuits

What can I make with these components? Suddenly I remembered that I have one device, which has 0.5Vp-p output. I also have one certain load, which has impedance of 16ohm and maximum power handling capacity of 0.1W.  I would like to do an amplifier for this load and use the output of that one device as an input. Gain should be as high as possible and of course there has to be bright green power ON indication light. To get it bright enough it needs to be driven with full 20mA. I made the following circuit:

I got a great idea for the logical circuits and I put the amplifier on hold. I could make a gadget, which with a certain input will produce BCD output where the least significant decimal comes out first. With a great enthusiasm I made the following gadget:

Suddenly I heard from the cubicle next to me "When we are going for the lunch?". Well, why not right now. It is already noon. After lunch I wobbled back to my desk with full stomach and stared the devices on the table. I have no recollection what was I doing. That other one I guess was some sort of amplifier but what the heck is that other one and even worse... what in the name of is the input for it?!? I wonder do I have to put these back to junk box...
