Holey Moley Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Zeevious: Checked on this cache today. Second waypoint was missing. Decided to archive since we are moving out of the area this summer, retrieved cache and contents. Thanks for all those who found or tried! This was our first, and in many ways our fondest, cache hide.

Geocache Description:

This is a multi-stage cache involving locating 2 micros and then the final. The setting takes place in the town of Pittsford, off a little known Pittsford Town trail in the Mill Creek area.

Terrain Info:
This will take you through a beautiful sanctuary you likely have never seen. Be prepared for some moderate hill climbing, some thorny plants, some bugs and/or poison ivy at the typical times of year, and watch your step. All caches can be obtained by staying on town property. You don't need to go within 100 feet of any houses. Boots and long pants are probably a good idea, but no special equipment is needed. BTW, for you nightcrawlers, Pittsford town trails are closed after dark, and I wouldn't recommend the terrain at night... ;)

WARNING: Although not exceedingly dangerous, this cache goes off-trail to a scenic area, and can be dangerous! Use common sense, be careful. There are some steep slopes, marshy areas, and even a few muddy sinkholes in what appear to be low lying weedy areas. Use caution. If you do not feel comfortable given these warnings, do not attempt this cache!

NOTE: As of 12/15/2007, this cache is now winter-friendly! However, I would add a half star difficulty per six inches of fresh snow! Can be done in snowshoes, but xc skiis are not recommended.

Waypoints 1 and 2: orange prescription pill containers, standard size, not in plain sight.

Cache Description and Original Contents:
The cache is a Rubbermaid half-gallon thermos painted brown with a bucket-type handle. The cache is stocked w/ a logbook, 2 pencils, a pen, a GI Joe, marbles, a few $1 casino chips, a mini tape ruler, a few decent matchbox cars including a fire truck, some collectible cards in hard plastic sleeves (Magic, Star Trek), a few old US coins, and a TB.

Quality trades, personalized pokerchips/buttons/callingcards always welcome! No cachetrash, please.

FTF prize: 1857 Flying Eagle US cent in Good condition, well packaged. Congratulations to 72CCT-ChE and Wheelygood!

NOTE: As of 1/10/2008 the Hint below has changed.
