Darcy's Doggie Pleasures Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

For Hidden Pleasures: Thanks to Canadagirlinengland for the heads-up about our cache. This is the second cache of ours that has been urinated in and destroyed (not in this same spot). Some people just cannot let others have a good thing without having to wreck it for them! [:O] [:(] [:(!]
Anyway, we have decided not to replace the cache since someone with a mean streak knows its location. Therefore, it is being archived. Thanks to all the cachers that made the effort to find this cache in the past.

Geocache Description:

This cache is in memory of our beloved Husky-Corgi cross named Darcy, who died in January 2007 at the age of 13 years. Assiniboine Forest was one of the places we liked to take him for walks.

The easiest parking is at N49 51.496 W97 14.994. Walking trails lead relatively close to the cache, but a bit of bushwacking is still necessary to reach it. The cache is below knee level, so it may not be easy to find in the winter depending on snow cover. However, it looks like deer trails run off the main path near the cache so it may still be doable with some poking around.

Cache container is a camoflaged large peanut butter jar. Please be careful to replace the lid securely to keep the cache contents dry.

The cache's original contents were, of course, doggie related:
- Pet Valu Gift Certificate for FTF
- Collar/Leash set
- pet food can lids
- plastic ring squeaky chew toy
- soft plush bone squeaky chew toy
- Nylon bone dental chew toy
- Peanut-shaped hard rubber/rope chew toy
- Doggie bag dispenser/refills

Please try to keep tradables in the doggie theme.
