Brief summary of Killingworth: In 1663, the General Court or what is know today as the General Assembly reserved the 'Homonoscitt' land for a plantation and not property of the 'Towne of Seabroke.' Later that year the first settlement took place. However, the founding didn't take place for another four years
This cache is found in the Parker Hill Cemetery. I was wary of placing a cache here due to the "spooks" that have been reported here and a couple of haunted websites list this cemetery as haunted by a bride and groom that have been seen trying to cross the road. Also, it is rumored that when entering this particular cemetery to walk straight in and not veer to the right (don't even look that way) unless you are not a believer in the supernatural. I personally did not even want to take a chance so that is a hint in itself!
Again, my GPS was not working so the coordinates are the best I could do. I took a total of ten markings and averaged out the coordinates the best I could. I welcome updated coordinates.
Please do not attempt this cache at night. It is a very quiet and eerie place. I was spooked the whole time I was here but it goes with the upcoming holiday and it is all in fun if you are responsible and respectful.
Have fun and check out the really old head stones. There are also some interesting birds in the area that are quite vocal the whole time I visited this place.
Small cache--please bring own pen. I was too scared to go back and put one in the container.
