Geocache Description:

Come see this historic bridge over the Kankakee River.
This landmark was restored in 2000 under the direction of the Porter County Government.

Was this bridge made out of the Ferris Wheel from the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago? Is this just a local myth?
Here are a few links with some of the hsitory...

Is it a ferris wheel?
Come check out the bridge and decide for yourself!

Park in the parking lot at the water's edge. Cache is just a short walk away. Area might be muddy after a heavy rain.

Some stealth may be required if the fishermen are in the area.
This is the only Porter County public access boat launch on the Kankakee (and a good place to fish!)

Container is a one gallon plastic bucket. The hiding place will be obvious for any experienced cacher.

FTF Prize is a ready-to-place micro!

As with most public places, please CITO...this park needs a helping hand.
