This cache has been placed in Forestry grounds near the Clatterin Kist in the Knockespock woods.
This walk takes you through the actual forestry plantation. On the day that we did this walk, it was so still and the trees are so tightly packed together, that as we walked round and were chatting, our voices echoed back at us. With a 4 year old, this led to great hilarity blowing raspberries and making silly noises. Unfortunately it meant that we did scare the deer off!!
As the planting is so dense, and there are many little tracks that can be taken to this cache, please waymark as you go round. Although Calvin managed this walk, we did end up taking a few ‘detours’ to get back![Infact he'd heard Marnie say that she felt a bit car sick on the journey over here, she was reading her pda enroute, and as the walk got longer and longer he announced that he couldn't go any further as he was 'A bit walk sick!!']
This cache has been placed in a natural glen that gives views down the hill towards Alford. It also appears that it is where the deer congregate as there was a large muddy bit, that had hundreds of deer prints round and through it.
Parking is available at N57 17.749 W002 45.229.
From here you can get both the caches that we have placed in these woods.
