The Forested Man
I was out in this area on a late night hike while I was camping at
the ONF. While I am experienced at hiking, this was my first
attempt at trying to place a simple geocache. I may have
walked for a while. Time seemed to slip as the moon shone
bright! I looked over and I swear I saw a bright light being shined
on the trees about 300 to 400 feet away. I stopped walking
and it stopped too. I decided that this would be a good a spot as
any to place a geocache, so I got my GPS'r out and quickly found a
classic spot for this really nice one quart cammo'd plastic jar
that was weighing me down for the last almost 2 miles. Then I saw a
shimmer of light. Startled, I looked up. Adrenaline filled my
veins, ready to fight or flight. I shone my light in the
direction, when a swarm of fireflies came out of nowhere! They
began to form a swarming ball and I saw a FACE! I cant explain it!
I saw it! I booked feet out of there! I felt a light shining over
me the whole time I ran back! I dared to look back and it was only
the moon again peeking out from over the clouds again. Whew! I
turned back in the direction I was walking and almost breathed in a
firefly! For those who try this cache...please do it during the
day! I... I can only try my best to redraw it...
CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED!
Update: as you can see in the logs, ICM saw the original cache
clawed to death! PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!!!
