This cache has been put here to replace it's predecessor -
"Thermal Imagining" - that died in the 2003
fires - RIP.

This is a whole new cache, and is not at the same GZ.
This whole beautiful area is known as "Yarrangobilly" and
is an Alpine area, so it can be surrounded by snow at times, so
chains may be required if doing it in winter, but GZ is near a
thermal pool that comes out of the ground at 27 degrees all year
round, so bring your cossies at any time of the year, and have a
unique swim, while being serenaded by the Eastern Banjo
Frogs that live nearby

There is an entrance fee of $3 per vehicle, and a walk of about
half a Km from the carpark, down a steep formed road to the
pool.
There are also many caves to explore in the area - some self-guided
and some professionally guided - but they incur an extra fee on top
of the $3 entrance fee.
If you're coming from Canberra, be adventurous and come down
through Tharwa on the dirt road to Adaminaby, it goes through some
of the most amazing scenery, and is a feasible day trip of about 2
hours each way and can be done by any normal vehicle.
For a bit more adventure make it an overnight trip, and go home
over the Brindabella Ranges via Tumut, and camp for free
near Talbingo at the very beautiful Jounama Creek (entrance is a
very short dirt track directly opposite the Road into Talbingo -
approx S 35 33.986 E 148 19.767). (of course, for the less
adventurous you could just stay at the historic guest house at
Yarrangobilly itself)
