Geocache Description:

This 4th cache of our Knot series is located in WILLOW Park next to Home Depot. This beautiful park features a nice pond, youth baseball field, softball field, basketball and tennis courts, new play equipment and a paved trail. There's a huge open field where I've seen a lot of people training and exercising their dogs. You may want to park in Home Depot's lot rather than the hard to find yet closer park parking lot.

Growing up I had a love/hate relationship with weeping WILLOW trees. I thought they were beautiful and interesting looking and different than all the other trees in the neighborhood where we lived for a few years in Kansas City. We had one in our yard and that's where the hate part comes in. They have quite a sting when you strip the branch and it's used as a switch. Well, of course, that's what I head anyway. As I grew up I've always wanted to live somewhere that had one in the yard. We haven't been lucky so far.

You'll find several willows in this park though and since it is a busy park I've hidden both stages accordingly. People may wonder what you're up to but you should be out of the way enough not to get bothered. There's a lot of land here but much of it isn't cache accessible during some seasons due to vegetation overgrowth or marshy conditions.

Stage 1 has been replaced as of 3/09. Let me know if there's any problem with it. Thanks!
