Geocache Description:

You will find the cache you seek at Plymouth Congregational Church. The cache site, although not maintained as it once was, is a unique little spot that is open to the public 24/7. However, respectfully please refrain from seeking this cache during their Sunday worship service at 10:00 a.m.

You are looking for a well camoed, container filled with the usual geo-swag. This cache can be reached from flat ground without need of moving any natural or manmade material. The terrain is a 1.5 only because steps are involved.

Plymouth Congregational Church was founded in 1897. The coral rock structure you see today was opened in 1917. It resembles a Mexican mission church and the front door came from an early 17th century monastery in the Pyrenees. It is made of hand-carved walnut and oak with original wrought-iron fittings.

Also on this 11-acre property you can see the first one room schoolhouse in Miami-Dade County which was moved here from its original location. The original site of the Coconut Grove water and electric works is also located here.
