Geocache Description:

Easy access for any type of vehicle. Short distance off of I-8. Can drive within a few feet of cache.

This is the location of what was once known as Camp Pilot Knob established by General George S. Patton during World War II. There is a marker in the area that gives some information on the Camp. For more information on General George S. Patton go to ----"General Geroge S. Patton Memorial Museum" at Chiriaco Summit, Ca 97221 which is 30 miles east of Indio, Ca on I-10, take Chiriaco Summit Exit.

The cache is a Bison Capsule.....Please put it back as you found it. And respect the area as it has a lot of great history behind it.
