You've all heard of horsegeekless island, well we came upon an island that we actually got to and dubbed it horsegeeks Island because we are able to get there. You will need a canoe or kayak for this cache. A kayak can be rented at Lake Wheeler Park for 4.00 per hour or you can launch your own for 4.00 if you are a resident of Raleigh. Just a little bit more for other folks. It is about a 4 mile round trip for both of the caches we hid. We went on another mile to try to find a place to hide 2 more caches but it is just too shallow and the mud too deep. When the water returns we will hide two or three more. This one is 30 feet above the existing water but it will be high and dry at high water. Have fun finding these as we sure had a good time hiding them. Good luck and happy caching.
