Geocache Description:

WORLD WIDE FLASH MOB EVENT "BLOODLUST STYLE"

A Flash Mob Gathering of Geocachers. Only 15 minutes long! You MUST sign a log sheet/raffle ticket, & be IN the group photo to claim the event. Please BYORP! (Bring your own red pen)

The World Wide Flash Mob Event

This event is timed to coincide with many others just like it all over the world!

We would like to host a caching event to bring together geocachers and introduce others (newbies) to the hobby.

This event, however, will be quite unique, and creative.

You're heard of mega-events? This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways. Flash mobs have gathered for many other reasons, all over the world. Come be part of this historic event!

The event will last exactly 15 minutes, not one second longer!

The event will begin precisely at 11:00am on November 10th. The event will be held at Lions Park. This is in a public park in Urbandale. The event will be highly organized and facilitated by volunteers. A minute-by-minute itinerary will be posted here prior to the event. We will also have printed copies of this ultra-precise itinerary distributed at the event.

The Plan:

-At exactly 11:00am (as determined by the GPS clock) we will place a bucket full of nice, new swag at the coordinates. We will place a small CD player on the ground near the bucket to play some pleasant, upbeat music.

-One volunteer will hand out "log sheets". Participants will sign the log sheets IN RED INK (which will later be used as raffle tickets), to qualify for attendance and drop them in a designated collection container. Bring a red pen. Participants may trade swag via the swag bucket at any time. We encourage you to bring nice swag to trade. A volunteer will hand out name tags.

-If any muggles are curious about the event we will have a volunteer hand out fliers that explain geocaching.

-At a designated time, we will toss out Hershey Kisses to all attendance for the event "meal".
-At a designated time, we will take a group photo.
-At a designated time, we will call out the raffle winners.

-At precisely 11:15 the bucket, and the log sheets will be packed up and sealed away. The event area will be vacated without a trace. Events that happen after 11:15:01 do not count as part of THIS event.

Only those participants whose names appear on the log sheets & in the group photo may log the event.

We hope to gather a "good showing" of cachers at this event. Tell your friends and help promote the event.

Surely there will be several muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I just see? What just happened?"

There will be 40+ new caches in the area, to be released at "The November Geobreakfast" by Bear Trax, Bucknuts,& Beargrylls 2 hours before this event.

UPDATE!!
The Podcacher podcast hosts, Sonny and Sandy, wanted me to let you all know that just by attending, everyone signing a log sheet will be entered into a contest to win a prize. You will need to listen to PodCacher.com to see if your name is called as a winner. They'll do the drawing on a show sometime after Nov 24 (by which time they should have received all the names from the hosts). Remember, if a name is called and they don't hear from you within 2 weeks, you lose out and they pick another name!
