PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND AWARE WHEN SEEKING THIS CACHE.
THIS PRESERVE WAS THE LOCATION OF A FATAL
BLACK BEAR ATTACK IN SEPT. 2014
WHILE THIS ATTACK IS CONSIDERED A VERY RARE ENCOUNTER,
PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION WHILE IN THE PRESERVE.
This cache is located in the relatively new Apshawa Preserve area.
I came across this area last week and loved it. The trails remind me of the Appalachian Trail. They are extremely well-blazed.
I had originally placed this cache in a location with a beautiful view, only to find out there was already a cache there. (When I went out, my PDA was "not with" which allowed me to miss several other caches in the area). The original location was about halfway between parking and the cache. The name reflects this. It is still about halfway between the parking area and some cache! This one is hidden in an interesting manner, please replace as found.
(You will have to move something to get the cache,
however, the location should be somewhat apparent.
Use the clues if you have trouble.)
Enjoy the beauty, trails, and nature of this fine area...and of course the caches!
