The plan:
RAIN OR SHINE: On Saturday, November 10th, at exactly 9:00am (as
determined by the GPS clock) we will place 3 buckets at the
coordinates. One bucket for TBs/coins, one for swag and one for
filled out log sheets. At this point, all geocachers will converge,
seeming to come out of "nowhere".
At precisely 9:15 the bucket, and the log sheets will be packed
up and sealed away. The event area will be vacated without a
trace!!! Events that happen after 9:15:01 do not count as part of
THIS event.
Prior to the start time, mosey and wander about nonchalantly ...
Then when the buckets are set down ... converge!
WWFM itinerary for Participants
8:45 -
8:59: Mill
about and mosey. Be nonchalant and casual. Look like a
muggle. Don't look like a gathering waiting to happen. Mosey
as realistically as you can. This is part of the fun. We will
seem to appear out of nowhere.
8:58: Videographer will
begin filming video for the entire event to capture the moments
9:00: Vaccine will walk
to ground zero with a bucket of swag. This is the signal that the event has
begun!
9:00 -
9:06:
- Fill out name tags with caching names and stick 'em
on.
- Mingle!
- Fill out log sheets and drop them in the collection bucket
- Take photos!
- Trade travel bugs and coins
9:06: Breakfast - official "meal" of Hershey's
Kisses. Make sure to CITO your foil wrappers.
9:07: Raffle prizes.
9:10: Assemble FAST for group photo. Listen to
the photographer for directions.
9:14: One minute warning is called "It is now
9:14!"
9:15
EXACTLY: Wait
for it ... then LEAVE the area (right at 9:15 in a
disorderly manner / different directions) and meet in front
of the tech museum if desired. We want to clear the video
taping area (we will continue to tape for a minute or so) to
show us "vacate;.
If any muggles are curious about the event we will have fliers
that explain geocaching.
Suggestion: COME EARLY TO FIND PARKING. If you can't find
parking you might miss the event!
