This cache is located in one of Tulsa's most famous parks. You
should be able to push a wheel chair or stroller to this area once
you get over the curb at the parking area.
Woodward Park is a 45-acre park that boasts a wide variety of
horticultural delights, including rock gardens, an English herb
garden, a terraced Italian Renaissance rose garden, a Victorian
conservatory (Lord and Burnham), a three-acre arboretum and an
azalea garden with over 15,000 azaleas. The park provides a haven
for citizens and visitors alike.
Park curfew is 11:00pm. All
pets must be on leash.
This cache was placed with the
permission of the Tulsa Parks Department.
This is located near an area that is frequented by
photographers. While muggles do not tend to walk near the cache
area you will see alot of people near by. Stealth will be required
most of the time.
Different varieties of interesting herbs and their aromas may be
found in the Anne Hathaway Herb Garden, which is also very near the
cache. In 1982 Tulsa Parks horticulture department took over
maintenance of this unique garden. Exhibits include scented
geraniums, sages, mints, basil, summer and winter savory, lemon
thyme, burnett, rosemary, marjoram, oregano and tarragon. Herb
specimens are labeled with their common and botanical names for
easy reference. The herbs bloom from May until frost. Visitors are
encouraged to pinch off just one leaf to smell or taste.
As always, I worked closely with the horticulturalists
when placing the cache. Be sure and fluff the camo when replacing
the cache so it will not be seen by random muggles.
