Geocache Description:

The West Prong Cemetery (also known as Shepherd Cemetery located west of Medina TX with graves marked as far back as 1884.

You must cross a low water crossing to get to the cemetery and the cache. It is nearly always accessable but if there is any water over the road DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS! You do not have to enter the cemetery to get to the cache (in fact the gate was locked when I placed the cache), but you should explore it if the gate is unlocked. There are Civil War vets, Spanish American War vets, WWI and WWII, and Texas Rangers. Most of the cemetery is shaded. Enjoy the peace, the quiet, and the beauty of the area.

The cache is a pill bottle with a log only.

Please replace the cache as you found it. There is a small pencil in the cache but bring your own just in case.

Some of the description below is pasted from a website in northwest Ohio (where I grew up), so I thank them for the SQ label for this cache. .

The "SQ" in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest. Please be respectful of the area, and observe their rules and posted hours which are typically sunrise to sunset.
