Geocache Description:

Be part of a World Wide Flash Mob Geocaching event, and let's make history!

Definition:
A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, then quickly disperse.

Criteria: WWFM (World Wide Flash Mob Event):
  • Dozens of events all around the world
  • Thousands of geocachers participating
  • Coordinated to happen at the same time
  • To bring together geocachers for a fun and unique even
  • To introduce others (muggles) to the fun of geocaching
This event is coordinated and in conjunction with the San Diego WWFM hosted by iTrax and FoxTail.

Everyone attending World Wide Flash Mob event will be entered into a draw which will take place 24th November for a prize! (Be sure to sign you log sheet legibly.)

So, join us for Geocaching Flash event at 12 PM (Noon) sharp on 10 November 2007!

Criteria of our event:
You have to be there by 12 PM and no later, as the log book will 'close' at 12:15pm sharp.
  • Bring one TB or one coin (activated by you) to exchange with another team.
  • Bring own Pen to log 'find'.
The location is in Madinat Jumeira, by the restaurants, and will be the UAE's contribution to the World Wide Flash Mob (WWFM) Global Event. Let's have some fun.

Schedule of Events:
IMPORTANT: If you get to the area before 12pm (noon), mill about and enjoy the scenery. Be nonchalant and casual. Look like a muggle tourist! Don't look like a gathering waiting to happen. Let your inner tourist come out and take pictures. This is part of the fun. We will seem to appear out of nowhere so that muggles will not know what is going on.
The event will be tightly organized with a minute-by-minute itinerary (synchronized with the GPS clock, of course).

You have to be there at 12pm SHARP and have signed the log before 12:15pm, for this to count.

12:00 – A cache container will be placed on the ground at the coordinates to signal the start. Quickly gather around.

12:01 - You will be handed an individual log sheet to sign (bring a pen) and drop in a cache container. The sheets will later become the log book.

12:05 - A chocolate or sweet per cacher to be distributed as the official "meal."

12:10 - Group photo in front of the canal.

12:14 - One minute warning. Prep to leave but don't "look" like your are prepping. (We will "secretly" organize where to re-form after dispersal.)

12:15 - Wait for it ... then LEAVE the area as quickly as you gathered. Act like nothing happened.

After the event, we plan to hook up elsewhere and enjoy a meal, and some beverages, together. Location details will be revealed at the event.
