Phillips Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Generally flat and open terrain in a local park. During the summer months pricker bushes and poison ivy have a tendency to accumulate near the cache.

Inspired by taking my three sisters (ages 9,10,11) on a caching run in MI, this cache is designed with family geocaching in mind and should be a pretty easy find. Cache contains a log book and some trinkets. There is plenty of room for additional items such as travel bugs, geocoins, gizmos and whatchamacallits. It is a lock n' lock container that has been left out of the floodplain and has been labeled as an "official geocache". Be careful of possible prickers and poison ivy in the summer months. Railroad tracks run along the southern edge of this park (about 250 ft away), but the two are separated by a chain link fence and barbed wire for safety. The paved trail that runs through this park continues through several others in the Newark area. There are several other caches already along this trail, so it might make for a nice walk with the kids or with a pet in the early morning or late afternoon. Please use care when replacing this cache to leave it exactly as you found it. Thanks!
