Geocache Description:

The Co-Ordinates above are the suggested parking place, unless you know better - NOT THE CACHE.

Background
The Matrix Series have been developed as fun caches to exercise your grey matter as you while away the long dark evenings. The three caches can be completed individually, but there maybe some assistance in an earlier cache, so enter into the spirit and complete each in turn. This second cache should have you thinking more deeply and pure logic may not be enough. Once again cryptic information can be found in the Dialogue, but much more useful information will come to those who discovered the Matrix Code. This time around the web will be of limited help but maybe of use to those without many years of coding experience.

Obviously the cache is not placed at the co-ordinates above but mysterious help from the ether should guide you to an alternative location where you could leave your cachemobile this time around. No short cuts please from the co-ords above. By the way, many have succeeded in solving the Code without resorting to bribery, unfortunately.

The Plot
The Matrix Code told the story of Neo, a computer programmer that earned extras cash by hacking and creating devious codes. He discovers that the whole world is an illusion created by sentient machines that actual keep the human race in a coma like state to generate electricity. What we perceive as reality is nothing more than an elaborate caching game sent to screw with our minds. As the second instalment of this trilogy begins there are a quarter of a million people freed from their forced sleep and living in a subterranean world, looking for caches.

The machines have discovered the location of their refuge and within 36 hours they will have bored through the walls to take away their GPSr’s. Neo, while still learning how to deal with his newly discovered powers and popularity, anxiously awaits word from the Oracle on what his next step should be. Only Neo, the One, can save mankind by providing clues to the next cache.

Morpheus is also waiting for contact from the Oracle and defiantly defends his actions to a frightened series of cachers. Trinity struggles with the conflict between her commitment to oppose the machines and her love for Neo. The apocalypse is only hours away and no one is sure if the cachers have the ability to discover the truth of the Matrix Reloaded.

The Matrix Reloaded
The Matrix Reloaded is found in a camouflaged container designed to blend in with its surroundings, only its lid will move. Please take care where you search, no tools are required and the cache should be obvious when you see it. If you have solved the Matrix Code but not logged the find, you can get the additional clues by providing the co-ordinates to SargeNI.

When you discover this cache further mysterious clues will appear to assist you on the final step along the road to the ultimate goal.

The Dialogue
Morpheus: The machines of the “construct” have now discovered our Code, but fortunately the QBFx alias Quickbownfox achieved the First To Find before all was lost.

Neo: That Code is now of little use in keeping our location of the next cache a secret from teh machines anymore.

Trinity: The machines have a control of all our current technology. How can we let the cachers know the next location in their mission?

Neo: We need something a bit more visual with less logic, so the machines analytical minds will be confused.

Morpheus: We should dig out some of our old technology to transmit the next location to our caching friends.

Neo: Yes – we could utilise that old Wyse 60 terminal, sitting up there on the self covered in dust, to send the co-ordinates. We could disguised them in a seial message sent over a RS232 link to the web.

Trinity: That’s great, but does the terminal still work and can you remember how to formulate that type of message.

Morpheus: No problem. The last time I use that old baby it was perfect except it sent a # instead of one of the letters and refused completely to send one of the other characters’.

Neo: Let’s see it in action Morpheus. Yes that’s great; the ones with the knowledge will see the missing character immediately and replace it to display the co-ordinates.

Morpheus: There the co-ordinates are embedded in the message and the transmission is sent.

Trinity: Here hoping the FTF comes quickly.
