Geocache Description:

Right outside Leeson Park you will find an abandoned road. After a short walk you'll be looking for a camouflaged, 2-Qt. screw top with all of the usual goodies.

The Fire Lane refers to an abandoned gravel road that was once used by the local Fire Departments to cross from Milwaukee Road to Colly Road in emergencies. This area has multiple jurisdictions including the Town of Turtle and City of Beloit. With the onset of new roads the lane was abandoned as an emergency road in the 80's. However, it still remains a popular part of fun runs and cross country courses.
Easiest access is from Leeson Park. This is a nice local park. Please note that the gates to the upper portion of the park are locked at about 4:00pm daily to vehicle traffic.
You will have a pretty easy walk of about 75-100 yards once you find the Fire Lane.
You are looking for a camouflaged, 2-Qt. screw top with all of the usual goodies.
