Crystal Lake Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

The cache is a 35mm film canister with a pen and log. There is a dollar bill for the FTF.

This just recently acquired Burlington County Park is an oasis of 388 acres including a 10 acre lake at the eastern end of Mansfield Township. It consists of both heavily wooded and open farmland. It is secluded, even though Route 130, Route 206, Route 68, NJ Turnpike, NJ/PA Turnpike Connector, and Interstate 295 are less than 2 miles away. Access to this gem of preserved land is a dirt road on the left from the southern end of Axe Factory Road just off of Old York Road. There is a parking area at N 40.06.975 W 074.44.380. From there you can walk the side of the fields to the trailhead at N 40.07.237 W 074.44.115. Once you enter the woods on the trail stay to the left. You will go down a steep grade and cross a wooden foot bridge. Once on the other side, take the trail to the right. Overall walk from the parking lot to the cache is about 0.6 miles. Take note of all the side trails so you do not get lost on your way back. There are no facilities at all in this park.
