Geocache Description:

This Cache is located along a trail within the Montour Preserve. No Bushwhacking is needed. The Cache is a round container. The trail is a mowed path. To walk the entire trail from the Trailhead should take approximately 45 min. This Cache is placed with Permission. Thanks, Jon for working with me on placing this cache.

Along this trail are different wildlife management techniques. While enjoying your walk to the cache, look to see how many different types of habitats you can see. Each one is designed to satisfy the basic needs of certain groups of birds and animals. If you walk and talk quietly you may observe some of this wildlife. As you walk through this area take a look at some of the management practices. You may be able to use one or more, to help improve habitat near your home. To learn more about our Environment attend one or more of the many educational programs offered here at the Montour Preserve.

Be aware that some of the time the trail is quite muddy.
