Geocache Description:

It was decided that having a cache event where new cachers could go and find caches with experienced cachers would be a good caching day and a great way to end this year!
SATURDAY DECEMBER 29th in the AM
If you are new to Geocaching please come and ask questions. If you are a veteran please come and share your experiences.

Being located in South Mountain Park, at the Pima Canyon Trail head, where several cachers have placed Geocaches nearby. Starting at 8am and ending when the log book leaves or the last cacher returns before it gets to dark cold the food runs out the conversation wains, well you get the idea.

Geocaching 101
To help learn how to use a GPS and Geocache, an experienced cacher will be teamed with a newer cacher. Then both head off into the park for a cache or two to find. A good way to make new caching friends and a great way to introduce the sport.
Several cases of bottled water will be on hand, along with some charcoal for those who wish to have grilling done (by myself) a few Hot Dogs or Hamburgers or whatever after caching and/or chatting.
I will bring some chicken parts.
Remember bring your own or some to share.
Canteen Vending has donated 4 cases of mixed flavor soda.

The Parking lot opens at 5am
The Sunrise should be at 7:31am
The Event starts 9am
The grill will heat up around 1030am.
The Event ends ? The Parking lot closes at 7pm.
