El Día de los Muertos Cache Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

CTReviewer: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link of your cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
CTReviewer

Geocache Description:

A three-stage multi cache in Woodbury, CT, at the North Cemetery. Bring a pad and paper unless you have a bionic memory, as math and memorizing is involved. FTF prize is recognition on this site. This cache was inspired by a celebration of El Día de los Muertos in my Spanish class. Final is well stocked despite being in a small Rubbermaid container. There is a log in every container, please sign all of them!!! Congrats to WAL for a FTF! RE-HIDE EVERY CACHE CAREFULLY!

The coordinates listed does not take you directly to Stage 1. It is offset. It takes you to the grave of Paul Guerrera.
You are to take his death and add 1,070 to it to get the last 4 numbers of the north coordinate (the first 3 numbers are N 41 3). For example, if his death was 1700, then the north coordinate would be 41 32.770. Then, you are to take his death and add 843 to it to get the last four numbers of the west coordinate (the first 3 numbers are W 73 1). Put the remaining four numbers that you have just calculated to the end of the first three numbers. This will lead you to Stage 1.

El Día de los Muertos is one of the biggest Spanish holidays. It is celebrated on November 1 and 2. People prepare weeks ahead of time for this holiday. It is celebrated in cemeteries.

We would enjoy it if you 2 TB/GeoCoins would be left in the cache at all times. You may exchange, but always leave 2 or more. Nearby is the Three Rivers Cache.
