Almost a drive in cache
A money exchange is in the times of the Euro no really actual, but as the island is visited by many people from the “no €” zone, still needed. The cache is planed as a pure exchange place. Buttons and other surrogates stay away.
From the beginning it’s containing:
1 Austrian schilling
1 US cent
1 European cent
1 Swedish Crown
5 German pfennig
20 English pence
1 rupee from Sir Lanka
5 Spain pesetas
The coordinates will guide you to a landmark, still useful
in time of modern navigation (GPS, Radar, Echo lot…) to captains (professionals and amateurs) as alternative to electronic equipment. This mark was obviously created to find the entrance of the small harbour nearby. In these days additional marks are helping. But just as the GPS, only one reference point is not working…..

Please be really carefull when you retrieve it. Specially under the summery saison lost of muggeles around.

Ein Geldwechsel ist zwar in Zeiten des Euros nicht mehr ganz so aktuell, da aber die Insel auch von vielen Besuchern aus “Nicht €” Ländern frequentiert wird, durchaus angebracht. Der Cache ist als reiner Muenzaustausch angelegt. Knöpfe und andere surrogate bleiben bitte draussen.

Die Koordinaten weisen zu einer Landemarke, die auch heute in Zeiten der modern Navigation (GPS, Radar, Echolot..) von Kapitänen (Beruf und Freizeit) als Alternative oder Kompleterung zu dieser gerne genutzt wird. Dieser hier wurde offensichtlich angelegt um die Einfahrt zum kleinen Hafen sicher zu treffen. Heute liegen zusätzlich Steuerbord und Backbord, sowie Untiefenmarkierungen aus. Nur wie beim GPS, nur mit einem Referenzpunkt funktioniert gar nichts......
