Geocache Description:

An easy traditional cache, just a short walk past the convent gates, up a well used public footpath namely "Green Lane".

From GZ, views of the surrounding countryside really open out. Lord Derby's estate, home of Knowsley Safari Park lies to the South and East. Billinge Lump (famous for its very special type of rain) creates a wonderful, natural barrier to the North East, protecting the fair people of St.Helens from the marauding Pieaters of Wigan ever since it was formed, probably during the last ice-age.
