As you read each site marker you will need to find the answers
to questions that will lead to the final cache.
The questions are not necessarily in the order that you will
find the answers.
After you find the first marker, you will need to drive South on
Highway 17 until you get to the junction of Highway 64 West.
(approx 0.5 miles) At this intersection you will bear to the right
onto Highway 64. You will need to find 4 more historical markers
along Highway 64 between Hwy 17 and Parkers Ferry Road. Two of the
markers are located very close together. You will pass the cutoff
to the Isaac Hayne Burial site but you do not need to go there for
this cache and this sign is not one that you are looking for. All
of the markers will be on the right side of the road as you travel
from Hwy 17.
The final cache is a Rubbermaid container located near one of
the historical sites mentioned on one of the markers.
There is a FTF prize of an unactivated Dragon Rot 13 Spinner
Geocoin.
You do not have to enter the historical site to find the
cache.
Both the Hayne Burial site and the site near the final cache are
open to the public (no admission) and are very interesting
historical sites.
You will start your trip through Jacksonboro history at the
above co-ordinates. Near this marker, you will also find a wildlife
preserve that has an easy to follow trail through several distinct
geographical areas that are found in the ACE basin. There are also
2 caches here to add to the fun. It is about a 4.5 mile drive from
the above coordinates to the final cache location.
