Geocache Description:

Located on Big Island on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage

Typical dark green ammo box. Contains logbook, pencil and puzzle. Big Island is accessible by foot from the Northeast side. There is a small bridge connecting it to land there. The trek in to the cache is shorter if you come by boat. You can come in through campsite F2, which is on the north shore of Big Island, just south of Pink Rock. Big Island does not have any developed foot trails, but there are logging trails. (You don't have to hike through dense woods) Like any woods in the North, there are ticks, especially in the spring/early summer, so prepare accordingly. The Geocache Notification Form was submitted to the Property Manager of the Turtle-Flambeau Scenic Waters Area and was approved.
