Marty Moates getting air

This cache was originally a regular ammo can with kids stuff. It is a decon container now. This is the site of the previous world famous Carlsbad Raceway. There was a memorial marker along Melrose that marked the trail head, but it is gone now.

Marty Moates was an icon of the 70's at this track and many others. See more about him on the linked website. The photo on his website (page 8) from the 70's shows the tree this cache was placed in originally!
