Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the Forest & Savanna Trail at the Missouri Department of Conservation Office and Conservation Area. The office can be found north of Camdenton by taking Highway 5 to Thunder Mountain Road, also known as Lake Road 5-88. A nature shop is open weekdays for visitors to browse through nature books and items that reflect Missouri's outdoor treasures. The Conservation Area also features a picnic spot with grills, restrooms and a fire tower that visitors may ascend.

The Forest & Savannah Trail is a one mile loop. The first eighth mile is paved, followed by a well defined hard pack dirt trail. This cache, an ammo box, is located 25 feet off of the trail.

This cache was placed by Cub Scout Pack 229 Den 9, who are currently Bears in the cub scout ranks. It has an Indian theme. The location of this cache was picked due to the rich history of Indian legends involving Bridal Cave and the Niangua River. The Cub Scouts placed the legend of Bridal Cave in the cache for others to enjoy along with a picture of the boys in the den.

Cub Scout Pack 229 Den 9 received permission from the MO Department of Conservation to place this cache. Happy Hunting.
