It's been a long road, getting from there to
here.
It's been a long time, but my time is finally near.
And I will see my dream come alive at last. I will touch the
sky.
And they're not gonna hold me down no more, no they're not gonna
change my mind.
Cause I've got faith of the heart.
I'm going where my heart will take me.
I've got faith to believe. I can do anything.
I've got strength of the soul. And no one's gonna bend or break
me.
I can reach any star.
I've got faith.
I've got faith, faith of the heart.
Little did we realize almost four years ago when we
started this amazing journey where it would lead us. We've met a
lot of GREAT folks along the way, as well as a few brutally nasty
ones. We've gathered up a lot of Kudos, as well as a huge amount of
vilification, some from very unexpected quarters. Thru it all,
We've tried to stay true to our original vision of honoring Hoosier
Pioneers and Veterans...--LEAD DOG
“INDIANA SPIRIT
QUEST”
The Indiana Spirit Quest series of
geocaches will take you to a number of historic sites and
cemeteries built by Hoosier Pioneers. In almost four years, the
quest has grown to over 600 caches hidden in Indiana, Ohio,
Michigan, and Ontario and the hiders have grown to over forty
cacher teams. Over 1,000 cacher teams had
logged over 25,000 finds when we quit
counting.

INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST
#585
"POSSUM HOLLOW"
Welcome to Possum Hollow (Cramer) Cemetery in Wabash County
Indiana, in Lagro Township.
OK, so Junior and I were splitting a gimongously delicious
breaded Tenderloin deluxe sandwich with fries at the Lagro Cafe,
brought to us by an equally delicious young blond thing, when
suddenly and without warning we got into a discussion with a couple
of guys about old cemeteries.
They told us where there was one in the woods, nearby. You've
got to be kidding. They even gave us directions on how to get
there. The stones, they said, are visible from the road. One old
guy said he'd tried to read them once, but they were too
worn.
So we eagerly gobbled up our hot Rhubarb pie slabs, served
with aplomb by our hot little waitress with a generous scoop of
yellow vanilla ice cream (on the pie) and took off at high speed in
the Trans Am.
We named the place Possum Hollow Burial Ground and added it
to the Wabash Cemetery list at Find-a-Grave.com--It consists of one
large Tablet, and at least six smaller stones and a few monument
footers--on top of a road cut, just off the road. Just scattered
about in the woods. Yeah,
well you know we hid a cache somewheres in the vicinity,
right? An easy ISQ for you. Not so fast, oh wise seekers of the
unknown. You'll have to work for this one.
Here's what you need to do: Park at the coordinates listed at
the top of the page and sign the log in the cache. Then hike up to
the top of the hill to the coordinates listed in the waypoint.
Facing due east, take a picture, from the west shoulder of the
road, of the tombstones on the top of the road cut. As always,
Watch out for traffic. Include your photo with your log. Do not
climb up the embankment.
