Iron Mountain Preserve is a 300 acre Nature Conservancy property that once served as a source of charcoal for the area iron smelters in the 1800's. Plant and animal life abound so tread lightly, open your eyes, and listen carefully. You may get lucky and see a pileated woodpecker or hear a barred owl or two...
X - it Strategy is a 5 stager which requires visiting the first four stages to compute the Final coordinates. (So remember to keep the first four stages as separate waypoints!)
If you are not familiar with your GPSr's route function, you may want to brush up on it before attempting this one.
Please be gentle with the first four stages which are adjacent to an old white blazed trail (that is sometimes hard to follow and contains a few obstacles). Those stages are fairly winter-friendly but the Final is not.
Please make sure to secure the Final as well or better than you find it otherwise it could be vulnerable to a crazed animal attack.
