Geocache Description:

"Such is the general purport of this legendary superstition, which has furnished materials for many a wild story in that region of shadows; and the spectre is known at all the country firesides, by the name of the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow". - Washington Irving

There are few areas of South Park that have such a curious and unsettled feeling about them. Whether it is the abandoned picnic groves now in decay, or the twisted branches of dying trees, I can't say. It might be the moan of wind through Sleepy Hollow, or the silence that comes when you realize you're alone... or are you?

Enjoy your walk, and try to remember if that horseback rider you passed on the way in was carrying something under his arm.

This cache is a tribute to one of my all-time favorite DNFs - 'Sleepy Hollow' now archived and seemingly forgotten. I searched for you until I was ready to cut off my own head. For a questworthy outing, park in one spot and grab Hook's Rails to Trails by Hook412, Escape Your T.V.(but don't wear antlers)by RUFFLEDOSTRICH and Return to Sleepy Hollow. It's a big day in the woods.
