This third annual tribute to the Thanksgiving Chef is located on the Mayview Trails at USC Morton Fields. This cache as two stages, a micro and a final.
As is the custom with this cache, it is intended to be introduced near Thanksgiving so that you can take a break from turkey and football and go for a hike with the family. You can park at the Morton fields, lower lot (parking at N40 19.715, W080 05.798). Behind the concession stand is a gravel road that goes down the hill towards the creek. This is part of the Ravine Trail. Go down hill until you come to a small wooden bridge to the right (I believe it is the Woodland Trail). Take that trail to the first cache. The cache is a small spice container (in honor of Thanksgiving). Inside the cache is a question about cooking a part of the Thanksgiving dinner. If you get the question right, you will be given coordinates to the final cache. If you get it wrong, you will be given coordinates to a location that it should be obvious has no cache. As you are climbing the hill to the final, remember that hill will entitle you to an extra piece of pie! Happy Thanksgiving - Moondog
