There is quite the variety of trees, shrubs and bushes in Rockville Park. Some of the Manzaita is huge! This one has been around for a long time. It even has a fallen brother close by. These monsters can get even bigger than this, but I would imagine it is a lot older than I am, and rivals the age of the oaks in the area. This is a view of the east side of the park, and can be approached on the trails from below or from above. A direct approach from below is not recomended. Use the trails. Enjoy the Hike and the Hunt! There is a $2.00 dollar entrance fee. Or you can purchase an annual pass.
