Geocache Description:

This cache is located next to the historic Rock River Kilns.

There are many old kilns at this location from the 1890's. There are still some standing walls of these kilns. There is historic sign nearby describing the operation that went on here over a hundred years ago. It is a very interesting area and fun to imagine what life was like back then.

The cache is not hidden in the kilns. It is on the other side of the dirt road from the kilns. Please do not disturb the rocks on the kilns.

This is about 1.5 miles in the woods from Rock River rd. You do not need 4 wheel drive to make it in during the summer months. No guarantees during winter.
