It is not necessary to enter the building to log this cache but if you unable to find it or wish to trade Travel Bugs, Coins or regular size stash items, there is a regular container inside.
Hours are
M-F: 9-5 winter, 9-6 summer.
Sat: 10-2 winter,9-6 summer.
Sun: 11-3 summer only.
In addition to public restrooms and a current display of regional attractions, the public area has a wide variety of free brochures and pamphlets from local profit and non profit entities. Take your time and discover information about restaurants, museums, wineries, shopping, and a variety of other tourism related activities.
Stop at the desk and pick up a free regional map and area guide. The volunteers are knowledgeable about the area and can usually provide the answers to questions you might have about the Grand Traverse region.
There is a medium size Lock & Lock cache container suitable for trading Coins, Travel Bugs and larger stash items located behind the volunteers desk. Just tell them that you are geocaching and would like the cache. Please,also sign the guest book and under comments indicate that you are in town Geocaching. Give ourselves a plug.
We have placed one of our coins to stay in the cache for those who wish to collect the icon.
The coin has been stolen for the second time.
Until we figure out a way to make a coin secure, use the tracking code to "discover" it.
