Longer Description
Here used to be a rather luxurious house but it was burned down
many years ago. If you take the path from Slammertorp you will pass
a couple of gate posts on the way down here.
The top of the nearby hill is probably what gave Kallhäll
its name. Häll means a slab of stone and from this point
people could watch the ships sailing up towards stäket. It
became a lookout place and possibly a signalling bonfire to warn
the people further up lake Mälaren when enemies were
coming.
It is said that the last inhabitant of the exclusive house down
at the waterfront here, an old lady, was a very mean and evil
crone. She used to chase the local kids and beat them with a horse
whip when they came too close to the place.
One night the house suddenly caught fire and she perished in the
flames. There are talk about that this was arson but nothing was
ever proven. Today people say that the place is still hunted by the
mean old crone.
Left today are several foundations and some rests from the old
steam ship jetty can still be found at the water line.
Bring something to eat and drink and spend some time reflecting
over this place here. You should not have problems finding it,
there are several tracks for runners converging here with the road
from Slammertorp, the walking path from Kallhälls beach.

I arrived here from Slammertorp, there is a road that goes
westwards from Slammertorp that takes you through two gate
posts.
Just as I entered through the gate posts there is a cold wind
that hits, feels like it goes through bone and marrow, there is a
rustle in the trees and a jogger comes out of the forest running
south towards the biotope at Dikartorp south of here.
From there it is just a short walk down until you see a sort of
open meadow where the house used to be. There are now some trees
and bushes growing here and the ever present grass. Watch out as
you walk here there is a steep drop down if you don't watch
out.
Walking down some stairs that are still here you will see the
old steam ship jetty where it used to lay. There are still some
concrete slabs here that are the only remains after this era.
Walking around you can see lots of remains after this house
here. It must have been something before it burned down. I sit down
by the water but I don't turn my back to the remains for some
reason. I drink my coffee and watch a few joggers go past, everyone
seems to pick up their pace as they go by, maybe they feek the same
chill I do.
I decide to hide my geocache just to the south of the main
remains of the house.
