Geocache Description:

An small cache placed to mark an important place from one cacher's past.

If you haven't lived in Port for at least 15 years, you might not know that there once was a road here. Every day, many neighborhood kids would walk this road two times a day (or four times, if you went home for lunch) to get to and from school. Many of us went to school here from the time we were old enough to attend until we "graduated" to PWHS; and many went on to do wonderful things -- although some of us didn't make it past age 16. This cache is placed to honor that past -- the good, the bad, the BOX (ya had to be there), and everything in between. Although this now is a "road to nowhere," for one cacher it was the Road to Somewhere and the beginning of a wild and wonderful journey.
