MARCH OF THE PENGUINS Traditional Cache
IthacaDoodle: I came out today to check on the cache since several 12-12-12 attendees mentioned that they couldn't find it. Indeed, I couldn't find it either - seems to have gone missing since the last visit in August. Thanks for those who visited.

This traditional, kid-friendly cache will take you to Eastern Heights Park, a 14-acre park located in the Eastern Heights neighborhood at the eastern boundary of Ellis Hollow.
EH stands for 'Eastern Heights' here rather than 'Ellis Hollow' as for the rest of the caches in our EH series nearby.
The medium-sized park has a large ball field with baseball backstop and soccer goals, a full size basketball court, wooden play structure, swings, several picnic areas, wood chipped nature trail, numerous benches, ornamental plantings, and sledding hill. You can access from either Skyvue Drive or Tudor Road and there is parking at both spots. Dogs allowed - leash law.
Baseball practice originally led us to this under-used park but it is the sledding hill that looks most appealing, especially this time of year. The cache is a small Lock 'n Lock container and it is filled with IthacaDoodle signature penguin keychains (see Gallery photo). Our logo was custom designed by Vanelle and we are so excited about our new signature items that we didn't want them to spend a cache-deprived winter. We know our penguins will enjoy this small streamlet (already icy in late November) and will appreciate watching kids 'tobogganing' down the hill.
