Geocache Description:

Next to the "Blue Lagoon"

This cache is next to an abandoned iron pit mine that has the nickname "Blue Lagoon". It also has the nickname "2000 Flushes". The mine was closed because they hit the ground water, which filled it up. The cache is close to its ridge. From here, you get a great view of the mine.

-Directions: Go north on Iron Spring Rd. Turn west on Desert Mound Rd. Go till N 37 41.763 W 113 16.638. There are a few dirt trails to pick from. Depending on what trail you take, you might need a high clearance vehicle (I went with a Honda Accord but would recommend something higher).

If you bring your kids or dog, keep an eye on them and don't let them get too close to the edge.

DANGEROUS!

Placed with my friends (Zach and Bad Bowtie). They will be the ones maintaining this cache.

If you know anything about the history of this mine, let me know so I can add it.
