Sheree Berry
Take a moment to enjoy the wide open spaces around this cache. Watch a working farm in action. Come at sunrise and see the awesome show that God puts on, or come at sunset and give thanks for another day well spent. This cache is located along a farm road at Fresno State University.
It's a three mile round trip from my home to this spot, and the path has been walked regularly for 28 years. Sheree was my wife and we spent many, many years walking and talking and holding hands along the way. Sheree has gone on, but her memory lives on for me every day along this walkway. I know that you, too, will find this place a little oasis in the midst of a busy Fresno. Just FYI: she thought that I was a little nutty over all this geocaching stuff!
The cache is really small. You'll find the container well attached.
Fresno State grows cotton, corn, alfalfa, pistachios, almonds, grapes, apples and lots of other fruits, vegetables and grains in these fields. It is one of the largest open areas in the city of Fresno and the adjacent neighbors cherish the area. I hope that you take the time to enjoy it as much as I have. Caution: Don't drive out here, even if you think that it's okay--CSUF has been ticketing folks who drive past the signs. Park on Sierra. It's a really enjoyable walk.
