SideTracked - Cam and Dursley Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Midnight Ramblers: Picked this one up whilst visiting Clifton Cameras in Dursley. I have decided to archive it for two reasons: this is not the type of cache I like to find - rooting through litter etc and it is too far to travel for maintenance.
Thanks to all those who visited over the last few years.

About SideTracked

We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy ('cos there aren’t many Motorways in Wales). But what about public transport users? SideTracked caches are intended to provide quick Cache-and-Dashes at Train Stations.

It is hoped this idea will spread across the country in the same way as the MMs…. If hiding one PLEASE BE SENSIBLE and remember that in this day and age, public transport is under greater scrutiny than ever before, so, although these caches should be quick and easy grabs, PLEASE don’t place a Cache where it could cause alarm.

About Cam and Dursley Station
Cam and Dursley railway station is a railway station serving the towns of Cam and Dursley in Gloucestershire. It is located on the main Bristol-Birmingham line, between Yate and Gloucester. Following a campaign for the reopening of Coaley Junction station, the new station called Cam and Dursley opened in 1994, close to the original site. Coaley was originally the junction for the short Midland Railway branch to Cam and Dursley which closed to passenger traffic on 10 September 1962 (though freight services into Lister's engine works at Dursley continued for a couple more years). The new station is unmanned, and consists of two platforms, linked by a footbridge, a car park and bus stop, from which bus survices run to nearby Cam, Dursley and Coaley. Passenger services are provided by First Great Western. There is a rail user group for the station, Coaley Junction Action Committee (CoJAC), which, following the opening of the new station, continues as a group to press for improvements in the service, etc.
Services
First Great Western's 'local' services operate all services at this station. A new timetable was brought out on 10 December 2006 which saw the introduction of a mostly hourly "clockface" service, and a considerable increase in the number of trains calling, with northbound services (on Mondays to Fridays) increased from 11 to 15 and southbound services increased from 13 to 16.
